Our Criteria
Game Plan AKL is working with the principals of these schools/kura to identify young people who best meet Game Plan AKL’s criteria.
Specifically, we’re supporting young people who:
are at risk of withdrawing or non-participation in sport or physical activities due to family financial barriers or hardship
demonstrate engagement in sport and physical activity (either school, club or community based) throughout primary and intermediate education
recognise the wide-ranging benefits (and/or value) of participating in sport and physical activity
have personal qualities, behaviours and dispositions that would likely see them continue to participate positively in sport and physical activity
positively contribute to their school or local community
have support from their family to be encouraged by this initiative.
