Are you ready to apply for funding?

As a reminder, Game Plan AKL funding can be used for:

  • Membership, registration fees, subs, tournament fees

  • Sport or physical activity uniform and kit

  • Equipment and playing gear

  • Transportation costs – individual needs to be discussed with the Game Plan AKL team.

What can’t the funding be used for?

Game Plan AKL funding cannot be used to cover the following costs:

  • Items or activities outside of the scope of sport and active recreation opportunities outlined in the whānau handbook

  • Connected to sport and physical activity participation by anyone other than the selected young person. For example, funding cannot be used to pay for a sibling’s membership fees

  • School or subject-related (curriculum) fees. The funding can’t be used to pay for the cost of a school camp that is part of the curriculum delivery of the school, but it can cover school sport costs.

BEFORE you complete the form, please have quote/s ready to upload from the sport or recreation organisation or provider of your choice.

Players Sports is our preferred supplier, please visit Players Sports 7/273 Neilson Street in Onehunga to test sizing, select equipment and request a quote.

Not all funding requests will be available from Players Sports so please ensure all quote/s include the following details:

  • Name and date

  • The young person’s unique funding reference number

  • Contact details of the organisation

  • Detailed list of each of the items you are requesting funding for

  • We require this quote to be from a legal entity.
